Looking for Cheerleaders?

When you receive encouraging words from family and friends, it should be no surprise. But when you hear them from unexpected people, saying, “You got this!” or “I thought we would be lucky to have you if you said yes!” or “You’re one of the most professional workers I’ve ever met!” they hit differently.  It’s next level cheerleading.

Think about how people worry about making a good impression. Sometimes we end up creating a fake identity, making it hard for people to connect and get to know us. And we wonder why we don’t have deep relationships.

If people see the beauty of our true character—which should be Christ-like—matching their impressions, it’s not hard to cheer us on. Remember, the Bible clearly says that you will be recognized by your fruits, for “every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit” (Matthew 7:16-17 ESV).
