Our realtor sends out a regular mailer with great tips. One of them had the headline, Clear the Chaos. It was a great reminder because I was overwhelmed the night before and suffered a migraine.
Clear Space, Clear Mind, it teased. I have no trouble with clearing space because I like to find new homes for things that are not being used or simply throwing them out if no longer working. I buy a new pair of shoes only if I am willing to give up a pair in my closet. I don’t look at purses unless I am ready to replace what I am using. I am aware of possible storage issues and the horrors of deep cleaning.
As for clearing my mind, yes! Here are some things I have been slowly practicing:
- Set clear boundaries and learn to say no.
- Prioritize and focus on things that are important.
- Use a calendar and don’t overbook.
- Most importantly, to remember that Jesus came so that I can have a full and abundant life! (John 10:10).
