About

Luisa

I have been a captive audience of God’s Word for years—and I love it! Stripped of the worldly things I once valued, God built me from the ground up, closing and opening life chapters at different stages. God changed my heart and my life. As I look back, I get excited to count His blessings!

I launched my first book, What Women Can Do When Life Falls Apart, in 2014 with OMF Literature Philippines. This book contains personal stories along with those of my friends, who trusted me to share them to others, so we can encourage those who are still struggling and needing a lifeline. Three more books were released thereafter, two of which were devotional collaborations.

I also started writing and producing my own 3-minute daily radio program in Tagalog called Mula sa Puso sometime in 2015, upon the invitation of FEBC Philippines. Mula sa Puso is on air over FEBC stations as well as streaming on twr360.org.

For when the timing’s perfect, God makes everything even more beautiful!

After 25 years of full-time ministry work, I took a leap of faith and answered God’s challenge to focus on my passion for writing. I have more time to carefully reflect on God’s Word and process ideas to bring depth and richness to what I write. My husband Ken calls it, “Gut-punching pop culture with Scripture!”

Do you know what else I love that keeps me busy? Spending time with my family, especially my adorable grandkids, with lots of food and karaoke thrown in from time to time! I also enjoy leading a women’s home Bible study and invitations to speak to groups.
